We adopted our son Neko as an infant. We have had an incredible relationship with his birth family including his paternal grandmother. She has also become a part of our family with regular visits and interaction with our family.
We are able to talk with regularly and have an occasional visit with Neko's birth mom and brother. This journey of adoption has been altogether positive and wonderful for our family. We are so grateful for Neko's mother and her choice to carry her pregnancy to term.
Neko has Down Syndrome and she had a difficult decision to make. It is hard to imagine life without our sweet little boy and all that he brings to our family!
