Terri is the adoptive mom of a 17-year-old girl who is the love of her life. Terri’s all-time favorite action hero is her daughter’s birthmother, who made an adoption plan while she was a senior in high school.
After ten gratifying years of parenthood, and 25 in high tech marketing & communications, Terri founded Unplanned Good because of the huge opportunity to connect young women facing unplanned pregnancies and childless couples hoping to adopt. She leads the Unplanned Good efforts to encourage pregnant girls to consider making an adoption plan. She hopes to spread the word that adoption can be a blessing for all involved.
Terri is also a member of 100 Women Charitable Foundation (http://100womenfoundation.org/) which pools members' donations to award grants to local non-profits that work on women- and children-oriented causes within our community.
Dana Clifford is on staff at a local San Jose church and has been passionate about investing in the lives of young people for many years. This passion, along with her friendship with Terri, has drawn her to want to be a part of Unplanned Good. She feels that it is vitally important to so many that the benefits of adoption are promoted and wants do her part.
Dana graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in business administration but saw her life move from the business world to the home world for many years as she helped raise her two now-grown sons.
John Schwarz is delighted to serve on the Board of Unplanned Good. John himself is an adoptee, and in 2012 he found and connected with his birth family. His adoption journey and incredible reunion story prompted him to become more involved in promoting adoption. John says that building a relationship with this whole new branch of his family has been one of the most exciting and incredible experiences of his life, and he is truly grateful to them.
John lives in Los Gatos with his wife and two children, and he works as a Vice President of an environmental consulting firm in San Jose. John enjoys spending time with his family, and in his spare time also enjoys jiu jitsu, golf, and snowboarding. John holds a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
